The Bixbys
Welcome to my new site.  I have just recently redesigned the layout to be what I hope is a bit easier to navigate.
Not a whole lot is happening across the pond.  I am looking for a change in work, and if I have my way a change in location as well.  I have been trying to talk my wife into moving to either Scotland to work, or to the other side of the world to work in Tokyo.
We are currently living in Datchet, with our house being located less than 6.5 miles from the Queens official residence Windsor Castle.  About 4 miles away is the famous Eton College which was attended by Prince Harry.  He graduated shortly after we moved to Datchet.
It is a central location 60 minutes from Waterloo Station by train from Datchet and 45 minutes from Paddington if you take the train from Slough.  If you get the express the trip will be faster by why bother when the stop everywhere trains usually have less people.  It is only 10-20 minute drive from my door step to Heathrow airport.
It is these things I guess that cause people to be willing to spend a small fortune to buy a house in the area with a small 2 bedroom mid-terrace house costing in the vacinity of 200K.  When we moved over here in 2004 the house we are in would have sold for around 100K, now costing 200K.
